Easter Sunday

Lilia, Morgan, Molly, and John
We had our Berge family Easter celebration at my Dad and Mom's house, and as always, it was great to be together as a family. We were joined by the Kastner family as well, and it was fun to have small children to have an Easter egg hunt with.
After we finished the hunt, the kids and I deviled the eggs and served them to the adults. And much to Lilia's delight, they all disappeared! It was a fun day! But above all, it was great to remember again the real reason for celebration...the salvation of our sins brought about through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! One of my favorite Easter hymns expresses so well the promise and life we have received because of what Jesus did for us...
I serve a risen Savior, He's in the world today. I know that He is living, whatever men may say. I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, and just the time I need Him, He's always near.
In all the world around me I see His loving care, and though my heart grows weary, I never will despair. I know that He is leading through all the stormy blast, the day of His appearing will come at last.
Rejoice, Rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King! The Hope of all who seek Him, the help of all who find; None other is so loving, so good and kind.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.

What a wonderful Easter! I (like my sister) also love that song. I've had it in my head since Easter!

We sang that song at church on Easter Sunday morning also! How fun! What a neat idea for all of the kids to make the deviled eggs. Glad to hear you had a nice Easter!
