Creative Expressions

I'll bet that you all thought that I had dropped off the face of the earth. I have not, but I had been held captive by the lack of desire to sit down and take the time to type. Never fear! Help was on the way! Suddenly, I was pulled out of the pits of procrastination by my cousins Mindy and Melanie, who reminded me of a creative outlet that I hadn't visited in quite some time - scrapbooking!

While Ben was out of town, we had a sleepover/scrapbooking night at Ben and Mindy's place, and we actually stayed up scrapbooking until four in the morning! I had been wanting to scrapbook my load of pictures for some time, and I definitely made good progress! I am almost caught up now; I just have my overseas trip pictures left to go!

I have also found joy in creating delectable culinary delights such as scones, coffeecakes,cheesecakes, or in pretty much any type of cooking. It is very relaxing for me to cook, and it is also very rewarding to see new or experimental recipes turn out beautifully! I am a very traditional, home-maker kind of girl at heart, and I guess that I have inherited some of Grandma B's love for cooking. (She did give us cousins cooking lessons!) And you know how the saying goes...the way to a man's heart is through his stomach! Ha ha! So until Mr. Right comes along, I will keep honing my culinary skills, and my co-workers and roommates will be my taste testers! (They have started calling me Betty Crocker at work!) In my life, when I have conquered wayside-fallen projects like these, it makes me want to move on to others! So here I am slaying this blogging dragon too, and am posting like a good little blogger should! I will cease my ramblings for today.....stay tuned for more adventures and new discoveries!
