Hospitality...

I am so grateful for the wonderful family and the great friends that God has given me! Last night, I was one of the five people that an older lady friend from church had over for supper! We had a great time of fellowship with a huge dose of laughter! It is such a blessing to be able to be with people who can lift you up in your walk with the Lord and also make you laugh so hard you cry!!

I am convinced that the gift of hospitality is of vital importance. It seems that in this busy world, we leave little or no time to reach out to those around us and encourage them by spending quality time with them. Relationships based on true caring are where it's at; just look at how Jesus lived His life! I am blessed to know many hospitable people, and have had my heart filled with joy because of the kindness that they have shown me!

So I encourage you (and me) to look for that new person in church, someone who has been having a difficult time, or friend that you haven't seen for awhile and extend the hand of hospitality toward them! You will all be blessed!
